I always love it when a single word can crush a character or send them into their own little emo corner.

Hulu is great for getting back into anime. You don't even need a subscription for most of them. When I discovered that, I was done. I used to watch documentaries obsessively on netflix, now it is anime on Hulu late into the night. (Just one more episode, then I'm going to bed....Oh, just one more won't hurt)

Manga is now just so convenient to read with all of the apps too. I can't whip out my kindle at work and read a novel but I can casually flip through a manga.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check it out. Sometimes all I want to read is manga, and fiction books lose their appeal when I am in one of those moods, haha XD

So yes, I do read manga! I used to watch a lot of anime, but I haven't done that in years (which is actually sad because I loved it a lot) - but I want to get back into it! I might watch some of the ones I own again, and then find some new ones to get into.

There's something so different about manga compared to other books, and the storylines affect me in a completely different way - especially if it's a series I've fallen in love with.

I did recognise a few of the animes you posted above :D And I definitely rec you Pandora Hearts (the manga - I have not heard good things about the anime), because it is my favourite, and completely amazing!Chiara @ Books for a Delicate Eternityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04181153932836441611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6178815800793308016.post-77237878717797202862015-03-19T13:51:43.257-07:002015-03-19T13:51:43.257-07:00I'll look them up. It's so complex and I need to reread it too since the second book came out but I haven't made the jump yet.

I've heard Attach On Titan is awesome. You might want to try Eureka 7. It's a fun anime about mechas and an overly dramatic 14 year old boy but it's hilarious in some ways. I also abandon shows in the middle just out of losing interest or lack of inspiration. It sucks but it generally means you've moved onto bigger and better things. :-D

Thanks for commenting!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07596788226744642252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6178815800793308016.post-83923061022638757412015-03-17T16:04:48.680-07:002015-03-17T16:04:48.680-07:00I've heard Korean dramas are awesome but I jus...I've heard Korean dramas are awesome but I just haven't delved into them yet. Fruits Basket is deeper than other manga I've read since there are so many characters and so much back story. Dragon Ball Z was really popular with my brother as well. And Thundercats.

I'm enjoying my break but I hope to get back to reading soon!

Thanks!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07596788226744642252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6178815800793308016.post-49703884258152990612015-03-17T14:48:09.575-07:002015-03-17T14:48:09.575-07:00I'm in a pretty bad reading slump. I haven'...I'm in a pretty bad reading slump. I haven't finished a book since January. No, you did not read that wrong. I've been making my way through The Way Of Kings, an incredible epic fantasy book that's also just over a thousand pages. This is a re-read of it and the first time I read it I finished it just under a week but now it's taking ... significantly longer. Coupled with this, I've been listening to a tonne of music which really makes me lose track of time.

In regards to anime, I watched Attack On Titan a while back and loved it and I've been meaning to watch more ever since. I got halfway through Death Note and stopped for some reason (honestly I have no clue why, I was really enjoying it) and I just haven't had the motivation to watch any since. Same goes for normal TV shows.

Killian
http://leaf-on-the-breeze.blogspot.ie/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6178815800793308016.post-58315672607548792132015-03-17T13:21:50.584-07:002015-03-17T13:21:50.584-07:00I'm also in a kinda reading slump! For me, though, that's really the only manga that I've loved. I've read a few others (Tokyo Mew Mew for example) but they just didn't have that same flair. I used to watch Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon Ball Z but the latter two were mostly because of my younger brothers.

But don't be too sad about the reading slump. Sometimes you just need to take a break, you know? Until then, enjoy the manga and anime! ^-^

Brittany @ http://www.spacebetweenthespines.com/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10331104365268040514noreply@blogger.com
